the purpose of this study was to investigate the achievement motivation of faculty members according to their job satisfaction. a descriptive correlational design was employed for the research with data collected using questionnaire. the statistical population of the study included faculty members of university college of agriculture and natural resources, university of tehran from among whom a population sample of 65 members was selected using random sampling method. reliability and validity of the instrument were determined through opinions of faculty members and application of cronbach's alpha. spss (statistical package for social science) version 11.5 was applied to analyze the data. the findings showed that there was a significant correlation observed between achievement motivation and the variables of: promotion, colleague, work nature, communication (p
